THREE MLL PLAYERS TO BE IMMORTALIZED AS FATHEADS
Boston, MA (March 30, 2011) - Major League Lacrosse (MLL) announced today that three players will soon be immortalized as Fatheads as part of an evolving partnership with the leading brand in officially licensed sports and entertainment wall graphics, Fathead LLC. Denver Outlaws midfielder Max Seibald, Long Island Lizards attackman Matt Danowski, and Chesapeake Bayhawks midfielder Kyle Dixon will all be commemorated this season as life-size wall graphics.
“I was gifted a Tony Romo Fathead in college and it was an awesome gift that was posted up on my wall until I graduated Cornell,” said Max Seibald on being a long-time fan of Fathead products. “To have my own is really exciting and I am extremely honored to be one of the few MLL players to be selected to have their own Fathead made.”
Lizards’ attackman Matt Danowski also expressed his excitement to be turned into a massive wall graphic.
“For me, it’s a dream come true to be immortalized on a modern-day poster,” Danowski said. “Fathead products are some of the top selling items in the sports memorabilia industry and I am honored to be a part of it.”
Kyle Dixon of the Bayhawks also commented on being added to the MLL's Fathead line-up.
“When I heard I was in consideration to become a Fathead I was honored,” said Kyle Dixon. “I remember my childhood posters of sports icons and I’m thrilled at the opportunity to inspire young lacrosse players through my Fathead.”
Fathead LLC became an MLL licensee last year when they signed a multi-year agreement to produce MLL player and Team wall graphics. Boston Cannons’ midfielder and lacrosse sensation Paul Rabil was the inaugural MLL athlete to be commemorated as a Fathead in December of 2010.
“We see our great partnership with MLL as such an incredible opportunity,” said Brian Stevenson, VP, Public Relations, Fathead. “Max, Matt and Kyle are three stellar athletes who represent what Fathead is all about and the passion of MLL fans second to none.”
Major League Lacrosse says all of the League’s Teams will be represented soon, including star personalities.
“We look forward to continuing our growing partnership with Fathead and to rolling-out players representing each MLL team very soon,” said Kerry Pucillo, MLL Business Operations Manager.
