After spending 2010 and 2011 on the Boston Cannons practice squad, Bruce played his first six minutes in the MLL against the Charlotte Hounds last year recording one save.
During both his junior (2007) and senior year (2008) at Drexel, Bruce was named a First Team All-CAA selection. His stellar senior season also included being named a 2008 USILA All-American and 2008 CAA Player of the Year (marking the first time a goalie has won the award outright). Bruce was ranked in the top 10 of the nation in both save percentage and goals-against average in both his junior and senior year. Bickford's 25 wins over his final two seasons were the most in a two-year stint by any goalie in Drexel history
During his time at Moses Brown High School, Bruce was a two-year captain that helped lead his team to two conference championships. His extraordinary play also earned him three team MVP awards and the honor of being called a two time All-American.
Bruce was born in August of 1985 to Cynthia and Timothy Bickford.
